melting pot

we love having steph and dj in san diego, we especially love all of the food hook ups that dj gets with his new job. the melting pot just opened a new location in the gaslamp district downtown and were having a friends and family night to test all of the new employees out. it was a late night, eating at the melting pot is a several hour affair-but we had so much fun having a double date night!

steph and dj had never been to a melting pot before so we showed them the ropes and we all ate really well! of course the cheese and chocolate are our favorites! {they are the most healthy right??}
thanks dj for holding the chocolate pot so it could be in the picture-you are so funny!

great food and great company.

the best part is? all of this:

was for free! all we did was tip the waiter and pay the babysitter, love that! thanks for the invite dj!

puts a smile on my face

i love this laugh.

yard work

paisley loves her uncle dj. he is so sweet with her and really loves to play with her and have her follow him around. i snapped these pictures a few weekends ago when she was out "help" (ing) her uncle dj. they even got to chit chat with neighbor shelly over the fence.

she is a busy little helping bee! i love this girl:)

little miss busy

i love this picture of my sweet little girl. her eyes are so blue! also, this outfit is a size 2T, we just got it and its in the fits perfectly stage which means it won't last for long. i am now only buying 3T in shirts, for my 19 month old. she is tall! maybe someday clothes will fit longer then a few months. on the bright side nothing of hers ever gets worn out because it doesn't fit long enough. here's hoping i have at least one more girl that can wear all these cute clothes!

one of the many advantages of living with the jensen's while we fix up our house is all the new and exciting things for paisley to play with. she likes the foosball table because the balls are just the right size for her little hand and for her little mouth.

i know, i know, you are getting tired of the fell asleep in the car pictures, but i for some strange reason am not and it is my blog. sorry.

sad little one

i can't even remember why miss pais was so sad and upset, but i do remember it striking me as funny. so of course, being the super awesome mom that i am i quickly snapped a few pictures and then consoled her.

ps-isn't her jumpsuit divine? i *heart* target!

how could i forget these??

i love paisley's new sunshine bermuda shorts-thanks gamma jan!

why we always do this to ourselves, i am not sure. but we do laugh our little tushes off...these two above are as good as they get, so beware or what lies below:)

jan popped in for the last one. aren't we fun?

birthday: part two

so monday night we met andrea at one of my new favorite local spots, corvette diner. you might remember it from here. i just love the music, the atmosphere, and of course the yummy food. i love this milkshake picture of andrea and i.

dj, steph and carson came to celebrate, i love the moss family!
{and clearly they love each other too!}

jan snapped a pic of andrea and i doing what we always do when we are together.

sweet robin and jan. i love these two. they are wonderful.

paisley love, love, loved corvette diner. she was constantly shaking her head, clapping her hands, she was enjoying the atmosphere for sure. i have about 50 pictures of just her from the night, so i tried to pare it down as best i could!

one of her favorite activities of the night was holding the plastic to go box in front of her face and then smashing her face or having daddy smash his face. she thought that was pretty funny.

my cute family! and check out my awesome straw hair.

some of paisley's cute expressions from the night. this girl loves to play!

my straw hair in all its glory.

paisley and dadda posing in front of the corvette.

in case you haven't seen enough of andrea and i, here is one more:

thanks to my awesome family and friends for making my birthday celebration so much fun!

birthday: part one

my 27th birthday fell on a sunday this year, which is actually perfect, since any other day chris would have been leaving early to the office and staying late at the house. it was great to have everyone around and to be able to rest and just enjoy the day. i was kinda dreading my birthday this year, feeling like i didn't want to celebrate without my mom. i have never had a birthday without my mom. last year she left me a voicemail singing happy birthday on it. i just didn't think that i was prepared for this. it wasn't an easy day, but it was a very happy day. the jensen's went out of their way to make me feel celebrated. they started with streamers covering the entire staircase and a poster.

then there was a streamer/balloon chandelier type of thing that i loved that dj put together for me. paisley loved it too. there were birthday cards everywhere, taped to the walls, on the table, taped to a lamp, it was great.

flowers, cards, and chocolate: perfect!

for breakfast{if you can really call it that, it was more like dessert} we had waffles with strawberries, bananas, nutella, and whipped cream, yum-o!
{please excuse my wet hair and no makeup!}

birthday banner, balloons, and streamers at the bottom of the stairs.

there were posters, streamers, and candy everywhere. they are so sweet! they even put one in the bathroom.

kelle made me a super cute and super yummy birthday cake. she did a bunch of sugar cookie pops to make it look like a flower garden, she is so talented! i loved it!

i wish i had a picture of the insanely delicious grilled salmon that we had for my birthday dinner. it was seriously the best salmon i have ever had. hands down. perfection. {do ya get how good it was??}

all in all it was a fab 27th {am i really that old??} birthday and i am so thankful for my in-laws and all the effort that they put into making my day special!
