mormon night at the padres

tuesday chris and i went to the padres game with some new friends from our ward. when jaime told me it was mormon night, i thought oh alot of lds people will be there-great, but no it is more then that. they full on announce that they welcome the mormons and a byu young ambassador alum sang the national anthem while (this is my favorite part) 2 missionaries, name tags and all, signed it. it was pretty fun and hot dogs and sodas where only a dollar!

isn't chris cute?? not the best of me, but what can i say, i am 8 months pregnant.

this is parker, he is jason and jaime's youngest-isn't he festive with his baseball outfit-so cute! also, the kid would not release the chicken wing, (its plastic) he loves that drumstick and we thought it was pretty funny.

really it was a pretty boring game, but the company was fun!

utah baby shower

my long time(we were born 27 days apart and had a joint baptism) best friend, michelle, threw me an awesome baby shower while in utah. i had a great time, here is the beautiful host and me.

pretty sure jack knew he was the only boy there and didn't like it-i loved seeing the babies again and hear them ramble whenever they saw the cat. emily and sue looking great, hazel chill, jack wanting to leave and me in the middle.

BREAKTHROUGH MOMENT!!! steph and i have never taken a picture where we both look decent, this is amazing and i totally plan on framing it-isn't stephanie beautiful, great picture of her! she made me a super cute blanket for the shower-so sweet!

showing off the belly, or for steph, the lack there of-notice her nice flat belly and my nice round belly....mine will be flat again, the war starts in 7 1/2 weeks! until then, anybody up for a frozen hot chocolate??

awesome friends and family that came-thanks to all for celebrating our little princess with me!

baby book?

as the time dwindles down to when our little princess arrives, i am frantically trying to get stuff done that i feel "needs to be done." chris reminds me that most of it doesn't need to be done, rather i just want it done. either way, i am on the hunt for a baby book and having a hard time. do most people fabricate one completely-like a scrapbook, or buy the ones with pages ready to be filled out? if so, what pages are good to have?? i think i would rather have one that is mostly a pre-done one, but then perhaps i can add a few of my own pages here or there-not sure if this is possible. i would really appreciate any and all ideas/comments. i found a site-here, that has lots of options, but still not sure what the best option is.

steak gorgonzola

this week chris's cousin shaun and his wife gwen were in town visiting from phoenix. it is always nice to see family, but especially shaun because he just happens to be a chef-yummmy. last night he created one of the best steaks that i have ever had and it was cooked all the way-very rare to have a steak be cooked all the way and dang delicious. robin(my father-in-law) took these pics on his cell phone because i didn't have my camera and you just have to document food this good!

shaun-the master chef

we decided to name is steak gorgonzola, first you sear the steak on the grill, then rub in down with roasted garlic and olive oil, then cover it with gorgonzola and bake it-perfection!

here is the all american meal, massive piece of steak, massive yummy potato and massive garlic herb bread it was all divine! not to mention the boston creme pie we had for dessert, so glad i am pregnant and can chalk up the few extra pounds to the baby! my lunch for today: left over grilled wild alaskan king salmon, steamed veggies(from mondays dinner), steak gorgonzola and baked potato-life is good.

weekend in utah

my good friend michelle wanted to throw me a baby shower, so this last weekend i headed to utah for it.(pictures of the shower will come soon-i have to get them from my mother-in-law) also, i just really missed my friends, it was so great to see everybody and lets be honest, i'm sure everyone super missed me! chris had to work and not to sound like wimpy newlyweds, but 5 days apart was hard-it was the longest that we had gone and i do not want to do it again anytime soon!

first stop, meg-she is a crazy talented toe nail artist, yes toe nail artist. she does an amazing job and i had been going to her for about 2 years before we moved. my toes are the white background with paisley print-roosk and i were oh so excited for our new toe nails!

next stop friend bbq at laura and eric's. i love the look on miles face(picture on top) and i love andrea and desiree. josh, brett, laura and kendra showing off the mass amounts of food we had for the 10 of us!

My girls, aren't we cute!?!

josh had a good 'ol time with amos, but who wouldn't?? the kid is all smiles and giggles, ok not quite but he was sure giggly playing with josh on the ottoman. clearly, josh enjoyed it as much as amos did:)

randomly their was a reunion for some of the efy oldies, so happy that i just happened to be in town. andrea showing the babes some love and then two of favorite boys ever-brett and kevin, they are great! i am looking nice and round don't ya think??

another awesome coincidence is that halle(on the left) andrea's niece (i use to work for her mom helping with her twin siblings) got baptised on saturday. i was so happy to be there, it was a great baptism, halle is such a doll and i love my little teah too. i mean look at teah strike a pose, she is so cute! she kept asking me when my baby was coming and giving me lots of hugs and kisses on the belly-what a sweet girl:)

and here are my twins(ok not MY twins, but i do love them to pieces) i spent the first year of their lives with them and love them dearly! they are getting so big-hazel walks really well and mr. jack stands frozen-he is so cute! i love the aguiar/weaver families! not sure i could have crammed much more into my utah trip, it was great but i am happy to be back in san diego which is quickly feeling more like home.

awesome oregon

chris and i went to beautiful oregon for fourth of july weekend, for a family reunion of mine-it was amazing! i hadn't been to our family cabin for several years and had forgotten how beautiful and fun it is-i really do love the green landscape and having the river 50 ft. from the cabin is also a plus. i wish i had a better camera, these barely do it justice.

jake(my parents dog) came and loved it! one of our favorite activities was re-enacting the battle at bunker hill with pvc pipe and marshmallows-chris and i were brits, it was hysterical! my dad is an amazing shot with that pipe, i kept having to dodge him.

chris caught lots of crawdads and fish while we were there, he also managed to catch a bat(i am trying to get the video of it to post) that is why he is on the roof. the boy loves to catch things.

lots of horse-shoe was played, and chris had an amazing shot-first a leaner, then a ringer on top of the leaner-pretty impressive. he played some paintball with my cousins and i loved the massive dutch oven dinner we had our last day there! yum.

not sure why my parents gave us the massive tent, but boy was i happy to have it-their tent is on the top and ours on the bottom, with chris demonstrating what i loved most about it-we could stand all the way up in it!!

overall we had a wonderful time with my family, playing games, eating smores, playing in the river and just relaxing--we couldn't have asked for a better 4th this year!

nesting

i am just about 30 weeks and it is really starting to get real for me, a baby is coming, in 10 weeks-or less lets hope! i am really starting to get the urge to get everything ready and learn all i can about labor and delivery(i am way nervous!) last week we got our very first baby thing-this dang cute bassinet, i found it down here, but my parents got it for us-love them!

it is going to be ideal for the first little while because it is smaller then a crib and portable, i love it! also, it turns out that when i was a baby i slept in a white wicker bassinet with yellow gingham bedding-you can't tell from the pictures but this is pink gingham. so that is kinda fun.

prego belly update, me at 29 weeks.
