Good Things to Come
just watched this video and thought it was a good reminder. i love this gospel and the happiness that we can feel in it.

birthday wishes
in may is both my father's birthday and my father-in law's birthday, actually they are just a day apart. and since my dad doesn't get to see paisley very often, i thought it would be fun to do some pictures to send him. it proved to be a bit more difficult then it use to be.
trying to get a good one of the two of us to send, it didn't happen. i do love how she is looking at me in the second one, like i am crazy or something.
then, i got the brilliant idea to move her to the tramp and hang the sign. worked much better. she is so happy on that thing. nothing but smiles and sunshine.
"dump"
while we were staying with the jensens jan bought another trampoline(the last one josh went strait through) and it was in instant hit. paisley took a little time to warm up to it, but after that she was constantly asking to "dump, dump" her j sounds more like a d right now. luckily, with plenty of uncles, boppa, gamma, momma, and daddy she got her fair share of jumping.
early morning jump session with boppa.
early morning jump session with boppa.
she loves to hold your hand and run in circle after circle after circle.

uncle josh with a ball on the tramp, that is fun too.
uncle jason and uncle josh, i think she was running back and forth between them. whatever they were doing, i am sure it was super fun for paisley she loves to jump and she is getting pretty good at it, even since these pictures she is jumping more with two feet and is more stable. it is astonishing how fast toddlers pick thing up.
painted nails
paisley has always been such an active baby, that i had never tried to paint her nails. although it only seems natural since i am fairly girly and little miss pais loves purses and shoes too. one of the up sides to living with my in-laws while we worked on the house is the extra people around, one day stephanie decided we should paint her nails. so we went for it.
she actually did ok, she was very grabby with the nail polish bottle and of course didn't keep her hands still, but with two people we totally managed.
aren't they cute??
blue
this is my front room or living room. i wanted it to be more robin's egg but it turned out more sky blue to me. i have learned that getting the color that you want from paint is difficult. i think i will probably be repainting it(shh, don't tell chris!) but probably won't get to it until the fall. i don' think i will get to the fun, decorating part until then too-summer is busy! this room is going to be the blue walls, white distressed piano(which i need to paint) hopefully patterned chairs, white couch with accents of bright yellow. i am trying to learn to be patient in the whole getting the house how i want it stage, it will take awhile i am sure.
boppa helping
boppa help, that is how paisley would say it. we are so lucky to have had help from robin. one saturday he went to town on the lawn with his new "tim allen version" of a weed whacker. secretly i think he just wanted an excuse to buy a more powerful weed whacker, but whatever the yard looks much better. this is part of our front yard.

first of the season
you know it is summer or getting really close when i have one of these babies in my hand. so good! yeah for summer time and frozen hot chocolate:)
kisses
paisley loves her cousin carson. it was a neat experience to be living under the same roof with them for his first 3 months of his life. she loved to sit on the couch and "hold him" and play with all his stuff and give him kisses.
so sweet.
so happy.
visiting jared & amy
anyone that knows me really well knows that my first real boyfriend was right after high school. i had known him for awhile, but always thought of him as a little kid{even though he was just 6 months younger and 1 grade behind me} anyways, jared nelson was my first love. my mom always said that he opened my heart because i had never felt like that before and i agree. i learned to love dating him and had a wonderful, fun time while doing it. well, as it usually does our 18 year old romance didn't work out and he was married before me{which only hurt a little} to a great girl, amy. jared was involved in a serious van roll while attending utah state, only about a month after they were married. he hasn't recovered from that accident, but amy is diligent with therapy and other activities to help him grow as much as he can. it just so happens that jared and amy were living in san diego for 6 months so we got to go hang out one night, it was so great to see them!

they live in la jolla and had this awesome park just walking distance from their place, so we headed over there and paisley was in heaven with all the slides.
now amy completely cares for jared, it is a full time job and then some. she is so kind and so wonderful, she had a super tasty gourmet pizza and whole food salad dinner for us-it seriously was like my favorite meal of the summer, so tasty and light and healthy! not to mention the ice cream with chopped up snickers and strawberries for dessert, yum-o!
it is still a bit strange for me to see jared how he is, he is just not the funny boy that i dated, although chris did get a big smile/laugh out of him. i can't remember what his joke was, but i remember it was rather silly and more funny for the men, jared always was a mans man.
i was so happy to see them both{reminder to self: take a pic with me and amy next time!} and to have them meet paisley. we tried to schedule it for quite awhile, and i am so happy that it finally worked out, getting the house and moving and everything kept getting in the way-thanks amy for being patient!
losing it
this is a picture of the very first time that paisley "lost it," full on laying on the ground crying. it only lasted about a minute and she doesn't do it very often, but i thought it was so funny and had to snap a picture. it happened at grandma jensen's funeral, and for some reason this is the only picture i took that day. it was a beautiful memorial, both chris and i sang. sometimes it still doesn't really feel like she is gone, i half expect to see her cute face and petite little self at sunday dinner as usual. she was wonderful and will be missed, but i am happy that she can be with her hubby who she lost about 20 years ago. we love you grandma jensen:)
choosing my battles
sometimes you gotta choose your battles, on this particular occasion, paisley really wanted to wear her swim bottoms over her pants. i told her no once and then thought, why not let her win this one? its not hurting anyone or herself, so i let her and she was loving it. most of the time my battle with paisley is eating, it is a daily battle to get food into her mouth. she likes the food, i just think that it is something that she can control so she does.
have i mentioned before that this girl LOVES water?? have i mentioned before that this girl LOVES her uncle dj?? having both at once is pure bliss for this little lady!
