paisley lately

how fun it is to be a momma! i have found that the little moments are the ones that make me smile, the ones that i love the most. here a some little moments from paisley lately.
whenever i am eating breakfast or lunch, i find that by the end of the meal i have an audience:
[what can i say, i girl just wants to be where i am]

one of paisley's favorite things is to crawl after chris or i. she loves it when we are down on her level, she also for some reason has a real sweet spot for chris's belt. she loves leather apparently.

paisley got her first letter in the mail the other week, our health care was thanking her for choosing them. as you can see she was very excited to open her first letter.

waiting for jason to get off his plane, paisley was playing with her uncle josh's glasses. she is pretty hip in the no lenses glasses. maybe she will be a b-girl??

i am a sucker...

for little baby shoes! they are so cute...i have a hard time holding strong against their forces, as you can see i succumbed to their cuteness and purchased them. at least paisley will have some cute sandals to help keep her cool and stylish this summer. now if only i had some...

josh graduates!

chris's younger ( i can't really say little) brother graduated from high school last week, we are so proud and happy for him. BYU is lucky to get such a great student, watch out provo cause josh is coming! paisley was clapping for his big accomplishment.

not sure about paisley's face expression here, kinda funny. we were happy to be there and cheer him on for his big night:) CONGRATS JOSHIE!!!

josh and zach, my 2 super cute brother-in-laws....love these boys!

while we were waiting during the speakers, i was eating an apple and paisley decided she wanted some too. i shared and she ended up liking it, she would suck out the juice and even chew a bit of it, it was pretty tart, but she still did it.

more apple fun:) she wasn't sure about the taste at first, you can see that here.

swinerton bowling

last week, chris's office had a bowling party one afternoon, we showed up to represent our family skills at bowling. the first game didn't go so well for me, i had to "warm up" ya know?? you can see in paisley's face that she was worried about it.

the second game went awesome, i bowled a strike-yes!! then i bowled another strike, awesome! then, i focused super hard-i mean this is a chance at a turkey people (3 strikes in a row is called a turkey for all you non-bowler language folks) i set it right down the middle, it crashed into the pins, they all fell over.................but one, it wobbled and then stayed. blast! i was so ticked! but still much improved from the first game. you can see paisley was very happy about my almost turkey.

check out my awesome form.

chris, the i'm good at everything athletic guy, kept a constant good game.

paisley and i loving the bowling action of the thursday afternoon.

i'm no bakerella....

but i am pretty good. for the last week i have had some fun baking for different events. the first being for josh's graduation(more to come on that later) i made some basic cupcakes and topped them with graduation caps made from chocolate squares, peanut butter cups and candy string. of course i decorated them with forest green-go titans! i think that they turned out pretty cute, of course not as good/perfect as i would have liked, but we women tend to be the hardest on ourselves.

next i had a baptism preview night and made some super cute pink cupcakes with blue candy stars for little miss kennedy. i made the stars from a mold with candy melts. i liked these ones a lot, such a happy color combo.

lastly, i am in a beginning cake class and tuesday was our first decorating class. the cake design is not really me, but i think it looks pretty good. i will say this, that even the basic stuff is much harder to do then it looks, but i am learning and enjoying it. the girl that i sat next to in class was named paisley-weird! so i think i will be on brake from baking for a bit-i am tired!

our big girl

lately paisley has been standing super close to watch baby einstein. i come in and sit her down a little ways away, but she just gets up and goes back to standing. hope this doesn't cause permanent damage!
so, the other day paisley figured out how to get on top of the hearth...bad news. she is making noise, so i go see whats going on and see that she is up there, being the awesome mom that i am i wanted to take a picture to show chris and what happens right as i snap the picture?? she falls, it is a wonder that her neck isn't broken. so next time, rescue child first, don't take a picture...got it.

not a great picture, but you can kind of see that her teeth are in more now. and no paisley has not switched to an eastern religion, she just scratched herself and had a blob of dried blood right in between her eyes.

my little crazy baby, sometimes she likes to hold her binkie like this:

we finally got paisley booster seat. i really don't like high chairs, and i wanted something that she could be at the table with us, so this fits the bill. she loves it and does pretty well with eating in it. she also loves her new sippy cup (pink and green of course!) from what i hear i am pretty lucky to have a baby that breastfeeds, bottle feeds, loves her binkie and drinks from a sippy cup-she is awesome:)

paisley's latest trick is clapping. it is so cute, she does it on demand very well, she usually will get this big cheesy grin, like she is so proud of herself-love it.

may happenings

so once we got home from walt disney world last month, paisley had a a new sense of movement. i think tristan gave her lessons when i wasn't looking, she now stands up using anything and everything and she officially made her first mess with things stored under/next too my desk. she was very happy with herself as you can see.

several times in may we went to one of the many local parks and let paisley have a ride in the swings. she loves them! these pictures are from memorial day, she loves to reach out for chris. she looks like such a big girl in the swing all by herself, she is growing up too fast already!

we have a bunch of family birthdays in may and june, one of them was robin's (chris's dad) it happened to fall on a saturday so we took their boat out for spin around the bay. the first half of the trip wasn't super fun-paisley really didn't like the life jacket-it was too big for her, and cut off her cheeks, also it was a nice sunny day and rather pleasant on ground, but add wind and cold ocean water and all the sudden it is pretty chilly. so, not so fun, but then we docked at anthony's (a restaurant right on the bay that has a dock right on-so fun!)and got some fish tacos, and shrimp cocktails.

we sat in the sun on the boardwalk and enjoyed the yummy food. on the way back paisley fell asleep while we were checking out some other boats by the dock and surprisingly stayed a sleep for the bumpy boat ride back to the car. the second half was a lot more fun, although i am not sure i would recommend a baby on a boat ride, not as fun for them. (notice how paisley feel asleep with her little face smashed between the life jacket-so cute!)

here are some random pics, paisley is a cute paisley print dress, showing off her big girl skills with a sippy cup-yeah shes talented. also, her discovering the bookcase-fun, and yes i did dust it as soon as i saw this picture-our hall doesn't have very good light and i never realized how dusty it had gotten. lastly, her sleeping-i just love those chubby cheeks!

lately paisley has been putting everything in her mouth, and then leaving it there while she goes about her business, it is pretty funny. she also loves to munch on carrots as you can see.

maybe she does this to help ease the pain of these suckers coming in:

these pictures were taken several weeks ago, you should see these teeth now-four on top and two on bottom--it is crazy! she looks different with little teeth poking out.

ps--it looks like we might be in a house by the end of summer, we have a lot to do, but i will post more on it soon!
