carson turns one!

we made him a memory matching game. chris cut and sanded the wood and i printed and glued the paper in pictures. i think it turned out pretty dang cute. then i just covered a box from michael's with scrapbook paper so that he had something to store them in.

carson especially loved the blocks with the picture of grandma and kacie dog on them.

we had a blast at the party, paisley made a cute hat and we ate yummy food.

we love you carson! thanks for letting us celebrate with you!

princess party!

paisley was invited to her very first birthday party-a prince and princess faire! she was super excited about it and made sure to wear one of her princess outfits.{these first three pictures totally make me feel like i am flash forwarding to high school formals-i hope time slows down!}

we were a little late, but just in time for pin the horn on the unicorn:

we had a ring walk.

they also played princess music and wrapped ribbons around a pole.

they also had to cannonball three big ogres. they loved this, it was cheese puffs that they were trying to make land on whip cream covered shower caps-so creative!

then of course we had a princess feast. everything was so cute and coordinated.

notice the court jester in the right hand corner, we had a show from him while we ate.

then we had two pinatas-paisley liked to watch, but not to hit. she mostly loved the play house they had.

paisley was so happy going home with her sucker and crown we made at the party.

rock climbing

the beehives(so basically me) were in charge of a combined young men and young women activity last month and were super happy to be able to go indoor rock climbing. the girls and guys loved it. had so much fun.

two of my little beehives rocking it!

at the end, we had a competition to see who could make it up one of the walls the fasted, some of the boys literally flew up it, just a matter of seconds. everyone had a blast and i am happy to have one of my big activities planned and over with!

just so you know..

its not all glamour and fashion over here. chris was laughing at me this morning and then snapped a picture of me, making brownies in the am in my super fashionable bathrobe and uggs. don't be jealous. i know i look fabulous.

stake conference

i loved the adult session of conference this season, but the sunday session was kind of a joke. paisley barely makes it through the normal time of church, she actually did ok, but we ended up listening to the last half in the primary room while miss pais ran around.

then chris did rock-a-bye-baby with her and she was being so cute. closing her eyes and everything. no matter how crazy she is, we love this little lady!

stripes

i did it. i finally made a decision and did something. i ended up choosing to do the stripes on my fireplace wall and keep my front room aqua. the stripes were so not as bad as i thought they would be. frogs tape is incredible. use nothing else if you ever do this.

even though chris vowed he wouldn't help me, he of course ended up doing exactly that. it went super fast with the two of us.

i love it! it looks great to the mirror hung too, more pictures of the house projects coming soon!

4 years {2.16.2011}

we celebrated our 4 year anniversary last month, it was wonderful to have a night out, just the two of us. we dropped paisley off at the jensen's and headed to dominic's-i super cute, quaint little italian joint known for its delicious bread basket. it was super tasty and we totally over did it of course, but not so much that there wasn't room for coldstone after a quick shop through target{romantic i know, but shopping with out paisley is a huge treat for me, and we really did just run in for a few things}

chris surprised me with a cute headband, necklace and bracelet set that he picked out all by himself! i told him i had been feeling more boho lately and he saw these and thought of me.
so sweet! and totally cute i might add.

i kinda look like a lioness on the left, but i do love the versatility of the band.

4 years later and still totally in love. he is incredible, i feel so pampered having a husband like chris. he is the one thing i am sure i did right. i love him. forever.

first bike accident

not paisley's, but mine. it hurt bad. like super ouchy. we had adjusted the seat height and it was too far out of the post, so once i was pedaling along testing it out, it just popped right off. leaving me to catch myself on my legs on the bike bar. not fun.

{for some reason the bruises on the front of my leg don't show as well-but they are there!}
