at the end of july, i got to take a trip of a lifetime, a few days in nyc and then a 10 day church history tour with all of the jensen's. I got to the airport on monday {july 26th} in the evening all ready for my red eye flight, walked up to the curbside and the guy told me my flight was canceled. i seriously thought he was pulling my leg and way like oh funny, but he just kept saying it and that i needed to go upstairs to the right for assistance. so i go upstairs and get yelled at by several unhappy delta customers who were also on the canceled flight and eventually find the right line, i wait for a solid hour and a half and finally get get to talk to someone. i was as tired, and upset as any, i mean this was my first trip to nyc, my cousin holly and i were planning on an adventure and now i was loosing time. luckily, i could tell the delta woman was just as tired and frustrated as i was, and i reminded myself it isn't her fault and to be nice to her. it paid off, because i got on the 6am flight the next morning on first class! yahoo! rather then driving back home for 3 hours or sleep, i took the hotel voucher and still got hardly any sleep because of my excitement/nervousness to miss the flight/being alone in a new place. anywho, first class was awesome, they greeted me with my name and were so helpful the entire trip.
here is my first class breakfast, no not awesome, but a whole heck of a lot better then coach. my favorite parts were the big 'ol chairs, i loved having so much space, and the personal tv's loaded with movies that i hadn't seen yet, i watch 3 movies which totally helped the time pass. i think first class is a must for any flight over 2 hours, it was so great! i sat next to a totally nice dude that bantered with me on and off and compared notes on movies we'd watched.
