right around the fourth not only did i have a hankering for some baking, but also for some crafty/sewing. when i saw this dress on my friend tanya's blog, i thought it would fit the bill. she is right in saying that it takes 15 miutes, it is so easy and i got all the materials at walmart for about $3.50. tanya has a sweet blog with lots of great projects, if you ever need some inspiration, check it out.
i added a belt ribbon because this dress is really for a toddler, not a baby. pailey has here fourth of july outfit set for the next 5 years! she looks a bit like she is dressing up to act out the book of mormon here, i think it was the sandals, we moved the belt up and it looked much cuter.
happy girl.
so i am sure you are wondering about the awesomeness that is on paisley's head. it is a hat that i made her during our primary 4th of july activity. it was also super simple, just duck tape that has straws stuck in it and then folded over on itself decorated with random craft stuff like ribbon, stickers, etc...
she has been taking off her headbands more and more, so i wasn't sure if she would leave it on, but we put in on once we got to the bbq and it was like she didn't know it was there. she was so cute as little miss independence. side shot of the sweet hat.

That dress is so adorable!! Good job on the craftiness... And nice to promote the one or two women in The Book of Mormon - Abish - that could be her! At least she had a name.
Paisley is getting big!
You are so creative! I am going to have to learn a lot from you!
