early in january my dad came down from oregon for a visit. i was a bit apprehensive at first because i have never really had a visit with just my dad...i wasn't sure what to do with him. however, all my worrying was for naught, we had a great time with him!

paisley was pretty fascinated by all the animals and on our guided bus tour she kept wanting to have her head hang out in the wind. [yes, kind of like a dog in a car]
my favorite part of the day was the elephant center, it was cool to be so close to them, i love to see all the wrinkles, they look so individual to me. check out my sweet pic! [i.m no professional, but i thought my little point and shoot did a good job on this one:)]

rise and shout the _________ are out! i thought we were lucky to have a day where a lot of the animals seemed pretty active.

my dad brought us a 500 piece puzzle of a waterfall. it was crazy hard, a bunch of white and then a bunch of dark. but we did it! we were pretty stoked and paisley only semi-destroyed it once.

i swear it was not there only a week or so ago when chris and i last went. sweet. oh well, paisley didn't much care, she just love chasing the ducks.

she would chase them and they would of course retreat to the water. so what does my daughter do? she gets to the water's edge and turns around and goes to her knees, just like she is going down stairs...i've taught her so well, we almost lost her a few times to the water!

paisley got tired from all the walking and decided to munch on a stick.

then we headed to the harbor with jan and stephanie for a little boat cruise. paisley liked the boat a lot better this time, but still liked her life jacket the same, that is not at all. i don't blame her, it rubs her little cheeks/chin because of how high it sits.

we docked at anthony's and got a little snack and paisley scored a bamboo flower. geez, i never had random guys giving me flowers....
